Hello! This is a mini tutorial for speedy four-patches. This method can be used for any sized squares. For this mini tutorial, I have used charm squares.

2 Moda Candy, Charm Pack, or Layer Cake® squares

*ingredients listed make 2 four-patch blocks

Place the fabric squares right sides together. Sew a ¼" seam along two opposite sides.

Cut in half  (at 1¼" for Moda candy squares, 2½" for charm squares, 5" for Layer Cake® squares)

Press to the dark side.

Cut in half again on the opposite direction.

Pin sets together and sew. Press.

Square up 4-patches to unfinished sizes listed.

Moda Candy yields 1½" unfinished 4-patches
Charm Pack yields 4½" unfinished 4-patches
Layer Cake® yields 9½" unfinished 4-patches
