Happy Monday,

APQ April 2023 Cover

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Welcome back to another installment of the Scrappy Celebration QAL.
This week we are making blocks G and H.

G is a big easy one perfect for any leftover scraps that are 2" squares from your other blocks. Have fun with it and scrap it up. You will be making 4 of this block.

Block H is a bit more fiddly. Anytime you have to cut a measurement having an 1/8" measurement it is really your first sign that accuracy is key and your scant seam alloawance will come in handy.

I really liked this block and used it have a high concentration of color broken up by bits of lights.  You will be making 5 of this block.

Above are the fun yellows one from my first quilt.

ct_Scrappy QAL- wall week 5

I have been starting to layout my Minick and Simpson colorway on the wall. Block H is the one that is mainly light blue.

The past two weeks I have added some bonus blocks so my quilt layout will be different. If you want to make your quilt bigger than the original, make 4 of each of the bonus blocks and work them in. The quilt will then by 8 blocks across and 8 rows down. Or you can always make more of any of your favorite blocks. Adding one more row vertically will make your quilt 72 1/2" x 72 1/2" and you will need a bigger backing.

I completely forgot to mention that American Patchwork and Quilting has a Facebook group for QuiltAlongs.
